©PROLOGUE©

Marie Anna-Sophia Amandine Bergerac Provenciale de La tour is my full name. But I prefer to be called Marie De Le Tour. It is more simple but in a glamour and duchess sort of way. Of course when I feel like being full of myself or showing-off if you want the rightful term of the word, I shall except to be called by my full name. I also love cooking. It is my passion. And I am not shy to admit it that is for sure!! That is why I signed up for COOKING CLASSES FOR MOST HUNGRY LEARNERS as year-long elective. This is my COOKING CLASSES FOR MOST HUNGRY LEARNERS journal, in this book I shall write about most delectable meals I intend to learn to prepare and also I shall write most tasteful secrets of the splendid art that is cooking.

Hi my name is Lila Laroche. I was born in the south of France were my mother was chef cook in a 5 star restaurant of Beaujolais. That is, until a year ago, when she became sick of a very grave and incurable disease. But in her illness, and even though she was tired and had less than a year to go, my mother swore on her own grave that she would pass all her most precious secrets on to me. The part of her plan to make me a grandiose chef cuisiner that I ignored was when she enrolled me in the yearlong COOKING CLASSES FOR MOST HUNGRY LEARNERS elective option at my international school in Beaujolais.

After her death, my dad prescript me an appointment at the psychologist for grieving people’s care facility, so that I heal the right way, as my dad says. This same psychologist is the one who told me that he wasn’t going to make me talk about my loss to him, but he made me swear, that I will keep a daily journal about anything and everything. So here I am, telling you a story that is supposed to relieve me of my loss and help me grieve for my dead mother.

My name is Masha Blinnikovna, and I love to bake. I bake cookies, I bake cakes, I bake muffins, I bake brownies, I bake anything that is humanly possible to bake and anything that looks delectable. I have yet to perfect my tremendously horrible skills of cooking though, because I cannot help to mention how absurdly DIFFERENT and not alike are COOKING and BAKING. But I guess there is no meal without a dessert and no desert without a meal. So that is why I  have enrolled myself in the year long elective class at international school of Beaujolais called COOKING FOR HUNGRY LEARNERS. I am a hungry learner in deed!!! Even though my parents are against me baking and the only time when I can bake is at my aunt Germaine’s house. I love that house!! It is situated next to my aunt Germaine’s epicerie, called Germaine’s epicerie. I would love to just freeze time when I am at the epicerie, these smells of freshly-baked cakes and bakes. The smells of different but equally tasteful icings. Chocolate icings on vanilla coated banana cakes, As well as gingerbread muffins with sugar icing and last but not least the  fruit cakes with exotic fruit garnish on top. But This summer my parents said, Masha, If you want to be a cook, then you have to be able to cook! I would never argue with the logic in my parents words, because as I said earlier, even though my love of good desserts is unquenchable, so is my thirst for new recipes yet to be discovered by masha the cakes an bakes explorator!!!!

And a good dessert is nothing without a good meal!!!!
